The Lenny & Millie Foundation (TLMF) was created in memory of Mildred Frances Bannister Whipple aka “Millie” and Lennox Malik Edwards aka “Lenny”. “Millie” passed away in 2019 from pancreatic cancer. A short time thereafter in 2020, “Lenny” our first grandson passed away way too soon from SIDS at the age of 5 months old. It was through our loss and grief that the vision was given to assist as many grieving mothers as much as we can by blessing them with a sympathy and solace care package. Although, the care package cannot replace their loved one; however, they will know that someone is praying and thinking about them while they grieve. Also, educating those in need from all walks of life about the importance of reading. “Millie” penned her first children’s book entitled “The Adventures of Lenny the Legless Lizard.” Her purpose for the book was to encourage readers to face any challenge with confidence, rather than give up and remain fearful of the unknown.
